Chicago Family Business Council Promotes Elizabeth Fidanovski to Assistant Director

The Chicago Family Business Council at DePaul University (CFBC) is pleased to announce the promotion of Elizabeth Fidanovski to Assistant Director. Previously the CFBC’s Program Coordinator for four years, Fidanovski stepped into the Assistant Director role, a new position within the council, on July 1.

Fidanovski began working with the CFBC in 2011 as an intern during her junior year at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). At that time, the CFBC was affiliated with UIC but the following year, the council partnered with DePaul University. Apart from CFBC’s Executive Director, Judy Hogel, Fidanovski was the only staff member to make the transition from UIC to DePaul. The next year, she was offered the Program Coordinator position, which involved planning and implementing all the council’s educational programs.

As Fidanovski’s tenure with the CFBC continued to grow, she became more involved in day-to-day operations of the nonprofit organization. Her responsibilities naturally grew to include accounting, human resources and sales support. It was then that Hogel and the Executive Committee decided to promote Fidanovski to Assistant Director, a position that encompassed all that she was managing and executing.

“From the first day Elizabeth began working with us, I knew she was special. Her attention to detail and her care for the people within the organization propels her to always go the extra mile,” Hogel said. She continued, “We are all appreciative of her dedication to the CFBC and we can’t wait to see how she’ll thrive and continue to grow in her new role as Assistant Director.”

For 23 years, the Chicago Family Business Council has served family businesses and other privately-held companies through a unique peer support system and educational programming. Today, CFBC’s members include 129 business leaders from 85 companies in a wide array of industries across the Chicagoland area. The members lead the nonprofit organization by serving on the Board of Directors and overseeing the council’s strategic direction.
