Employer-sponsored insurance covers almost 155 million nonelderly people, according to the 23^rd annual Employer Health Benefits Survey by Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF).  Clearly, many people are impacted each fall when renewals take place.

While it is a major undertaking, the health insurance renewal process is not intended to be the worst part of the employee benefits year. It could be the time when employees are reminded of the commitment made on their behalf, including both time and money. It could be an opportunity for brokers to shine, or for employees to feel like they are important and supported.

Unfortunately, most businesses have a very negative renewal experience from year to year, but this can be avoided by working with a team committed to their success.
