President’s Message – Two Kinds of Family
Many of us ask ourselves this question every year: “Holy cow! Where did the summer go?”
Now the holidays are right around the corner. First up— Thanksgiving— the eating fest that I love! I can’t wait for Turkey and mashed potatoes, but Thanksgiving is more than just an eat-a-thon. It’s a time to get together with your friends and family, the people you know and (most of the time) love and care about. It’s a time to be thankful for our blessings in life.
This made me think of my other family—my EFBC family—and my Sigma Forum. I had the opportunity to present to my forum last week. It was a very sensitive and important topic to me. Of course, my Sigma team amazed me with great, realistic feedback once again. As I was driving home reflecting on the meeting, I couldn’t help but be thankful for my forum and the EFBC.
We have something special here. Sometimes we get busy and forget about how great the protocols are and the power of our forums. As Thanksgiving approaches, I’m going to take time to pause from the busy day-to-day. I plan to reflect on the good stuff with family and friends, and my chosen family and friends at the EFBC.
Thank you EFBC, and thank you Sigma! Have a wonderful holiday.
