At some restaurants, we can feel the anxiety of waitstaff hovering outside the door because they feel uncomfortable not entering to refill drinks. At Francesca’s Amici, everyone graciously followed our instructions and left us alone without hovering when the doors were closed, and were extremely attentive when the doors were open. It was exactly the right balance, and we really appreciated this!
The doors weren’t well insulated (standard glass french doors), so you could hear some outside noise, but the room was in the very back of the restaurant which was nice. It was very quiet during the meeting portion because the restaurant was not very busy at that point. The room did get a little too hot at one point and a little too cold at another, but they were fine with us adjusting the thermostat (which was inside the room) to our liking. Overall, I’d give it an A or A- rating, and I think it is a venue worth considering for a forum meeting in the western suburbs.
