Michelle Caperelli headshot1. What year are you in school? What is your major?

I am currently a junior year student at DePaul University, accelerating my graduation date. I am studying Business Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship.

2. What interests you the most about your field of study? Why did you choose this?

I’ve always been inspired by my parents’ dedication to their small businesses - they are undoubtedly the reason for my hard work ethic and goal-oriented mindset.  I’m studying business because I have so many ideas I want to bring into action.

3. What is your favorite part about being a DePaul student?

One of DePaul’s mottos is, “The city is your campus”.  Having the opportunity to study and work in the city of Chicago can be challenging, but it builds character and pushes students to learn in various ways.  I love learning something new every day, inside and outside of the classroom.

4. What are you most excited about in regards to working with the CFBC?

I am very excited to be working with the CFBC because I can take what I’ve learned from the classroom and my family, and bring it into this organization.  I am so grateful to be working with the CFBC staff and members because they truly are so kind, patient and outgoing.

5. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I’m an artistic person, so I’m always working on different creative projects, whether it’s recording a song on ukulele, or drawing portraits for friends and family.

6. What are your goals for the future?

I have numerous goals for the future, and I’m adding more to the list every day.  My main goal is to provide a better life for my parents.  Career-wise, I am looking forward to incorporating my artistic qualities into entrepreneurship by running my own fashion business.  In addition, I’d love to work and network with numerous companies and assist them with improving their business and marketing strategies.
